This baroque church is dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua, whose image can be seen inside the niche; above it there is an impressive coat of arms, since this was a private chapel founded by the canon of Santiago Cathedral, Antonio de Castro Romero. It houses a baroque altarpiece dedicated to the life of St. Mark; this sculptural ensemble did not originally belong to the church but was brought here in 1866 from a chapel dedicated to St. Mark, located on Monte San Marcos at the foot of the king’s highway.
