Noia’s Medieval Fair, one of the best known in Galicia, is a must for all those interested in this kind of event. It is held every year over a weekend in mid-July, when the streets, squares and buildings in Noia’s old town recreate the atmosphere of life in the Middle Ages. The main activities feature a medieval market, with numerous stands selling food and local and Galician crafts, which is open from Friday to Sunday, from 11 am to 12 midnight; and other leisure activities such as falconry exhibitions, tournaments and duels on horseback, parades, musical performances, street entertainment, theatre, live workshops, children’s activities and a play area for young ones.
